What is Kratom?
Kratom is a substance derived from the leaves of the mitragyna speciosa tree, native to Southeast Asia. Initially used by locals to treat maladies like diarrhea, pain, and cough, it also served to enhance energy levels. Over recent years, kratom consumption in the U.S., including Nashville, has surged, thereby escalating the demand for specialized kratom rehab. Consumable as a tablet, capsule, or extract, kratom can also be incorporated in hot drinks or chewed in its raw leaf form.
Although not classified as an illicit substance, the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) labels kratom as a “drug of concern,” cautioning against its consumption. Despite the growing apprehension, numerous people use kratom for its energizing effects, relaxation, sociability, or sedative qualities.

Is Kratom Addictive?
The FDA is still researching the implications of prolonged kratom use. Chronic kratom usage can lead to psychological dependence and potential physical reliance. An unhealthy dependency can develop due to habitual consumption, triggering withdrawal symptoms when someone stops using the drug. Dependence levels can vary depending on usage frequency, dosage, batch potency, and pre-existing medical or psychological conditions.

Treatment Options for Kratom Rehab
Addiction necessitates professional care for successful recovery. Kratom rehab usually begins with detox, providing medical support for safe detoxification. Following detox, patients might choose residential facilities or opt for outpatient treatment, allowing them to live at home while attending therapy sessions. Prescription medications can be administered to alleviate withdrawal symptoms throughout the treatment stages.
Nashville Treatment Solutions offers multiple options in our kratom rehab on an outpatient basis to accommodate everyone’s unique needs and schedules. Our outpatient care levels include:
Partial Hospitalization Program: Our PHP schedule is Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. During this time, individuals partake in group therapy, individual therapy, holistic therapy and more.
